A chemist by training and an operator at heart, she was responsible for steering how one of the most decisive and reliability-bound industries on earth brings new technology to scale.

Together, Dr. Schofer and Dr. Burger pulled apart what it actually takes to graduate from the lab bench to commercial operation.
