This Charmast power bank is the most useful thing I own. Well, not this one specifically. I’ve got the 10,000 mAh version, which is half the battery capacity, and it keeps my phone, vape (yes, I can hear you groaning from here) and various other electronic doohickeys constantly charged while I’m out on the road.
This one has twice the capacity, in what looks to be the same-sized chassis, and it’s down to $30 for Prime Day. So I just bought it, because what the hell.
My current model is still trucking along nicely, and seems to keep the exact amount of charge it did when I pulled it from the box two years ago. It’s been all around the world with me since then, and other than the odd scuff from being frequently dropped on concrete and tile floors (I can be a klutz), it’s practically flawless.
The best part about this power bank design? Integrated cables. Four of them, to be precise. USB Type-C, Type-A, micro USB, and Lightning cables are tucked into the side, with a tough-yet-flexible rubberised coating that holds them in place within the chassis design. They’re always connected, and always ready.
They’re not very long, but they’re perfect for flipping back on themselves and holding the charger with your phone while it tops itself off. Or most other devices, for that matter.
And because you’ve always got the four cables with you, you can rescue friends, family, and random passers by with a charge in moments. You become some sort of battery-toting superhero, and that’s worth the price alone.
To be honest, I don’t need a new one. My old model is a faithful friend. But it’s been such a good piece of tech, I feel like buying a second with twice the capacity just makes a whole lot of sense. If you lack a portable power bank entirely (or are just looking for the best), congratulations. I very much doubt you’ll regret dropping some cash on this one.
