What-ho and good morrow to you, dear reader. Should one be wishing for a gaming keyboard with some actual class, rather than something clad in gamer-chic vulgarity, may I humbly suggest the Keychron K2 HE—which is currently down to $112 as part of the Amazon Prime Day celebrations.

Wonderful. Anyway, I bloomin’ love this keyboard, in all its forms. I recently tested the concrete-framed version and came away incredibly impressed. A large part of that was due to its fantastic Gateron magnetic double rail switches and premium-feeling double-shot PBT keycaps. Concrete or not, this keeb feels absolutely wonderful to type on.

Our Reece agrees wholeheartedly, as he gave the regular model a score of 88% in his review. While I loved the concrete frame of my review sample, I would happily pick up this version, as it’s got all the same internal hardware that makes it a delight to type and game on.

Plus, to keep the unusual material theme going, this one’s got two strips of actual wood on the sides. I’ve typed on this very keeb, and can confirm that it feels awesome, looks great, and is pretty much the classiest keyboard you can currently buy. Unfortunately, the white version is still at full price, but here are some of our own pics for reference:

It’s a 75% keeb, so no numpad for you. However, it’s got everything most people would need for daily usage, in a form factor that means it’s easy to shift around on your desk for a comfortable typing/gaming position.

It’s also got a Bluetooth connection alongside its 2.4 GHz, dongle-based affair, which makes it rather flexible. Not literally, though, as Keychron takes build quality very seriously indeed. There’s no deck flex in the chassis design, that’s for sure, just a couple of strips of rosewood and a very sturdy frame.

Wood I buy one? Sorry. But yes, I wood. As for your own pocketbook, I guess that’s up to yew. It’s very hot in here, okay?
